Belfast One BID plan to deliver an annual calendar of events for 2023/24

Aiming to attract additional footfall, increase visitor spend & positive press coverage for Belfast City Centre.

Working with retail, hospitality and professional services we will target various demographic groups to ensure all of our consumer events benefit Belfast One members while also enhancing the Belfast City Centre visitor experience.

Belfast City Centre Floral Installation

MAY/JUNE/JULY 2023

Enhancing the vibrancy and attractiveness of the City Centre, Belfast One will bring a pop of colour to the City Centre by installing an 11m floral structure in Belfast City Hall Grounds.

Brightly colored lanterns will also dress the trees on Donegall Place, Royal Avenue, Corn Market, Lower Ann Street, William Street South and Fountain Street.

Belfast Summer Cinema

15TH & 16TH JULY 2023

Bringing over 5,500 people together over the weekend, Belfast One Summer Cinema is an inclusive event for families in Northern Ireland, showcasing popular movies for young and old, this event is a must see for all families. Taking place in the grounds of City Hall and partnering with Belfast Film Festival there will be entertainment between movies, with Cool FM also hosting the audience.

Belfast One Way Edit

AUGUST 2023

The Belfast One Way Edit with Rebecca McKinney is Back! Showcasing retailers throughout Belfast City Centre, the fashion show will cover big brand fashion, small independent style as well as beauty and hairdressing. Showcasing the amazing choice of style and beauty throughout the City Centre. This event is open to the public but will also see popular media, influencers and bloggers in the audience as well.

Halloween in Belfast City Centre

OCTOBER 2022

Belfast One BID are bringing our Monster Mayhem back into the City Centre this Halloween, dressing the City Centre with Inflatable monsters and hosting spooky activities for families to take part in.

Taking place in various locations throughout the City Centre we aim to attract families into the City Centre over the Halloween period.

 

Christmas Campaign & Santas Post Office

NOVEMBER – DECEMBER 2023

Santa’s Post Office is one of Belfast Ones most successful projects and we plan to bring this back bigger and better than ever. Attracting that important family market to the City Centre we will enhance Santa’s Post Office with a full Christmas Marketing Campaign that will drive footfall and spend into the City Centre over the festive period.

Chinese New Year 2024 Dressing the City Centre

FEBRUARY 2024

Enhancing and dressing the City Centre once again to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Dressing trees along Donegall Place, Royal Avenue and various locations around the Belfast City Centre will have a big impact on the look and feel of the City Centre.

How you can get involved?

We actively encourage businesses within the Belfast One BID area to get involved in all projects and initiatives, from offering discounts and deals around event time, themed window dressing, creating bespoke offerings for events, participating or even providing giveaways, we would love to hear your ideas on how we can work with you more. The more businesses that get involved the more impact Belfast One Events will have.

Marketing & PR

Belfast One create impactful marketing and social media campaigns around all events, using key media partners such as Cool FM and Belfast Live, we work to ensure Belfast City Centre and Belfast One members are showcased and promoted as positively as possible.

As part of the promotion and marketing we will carry out market research from each event, results are measured effectively so we can then enhance and expand on projects for the future.
