Festoon lighting will add to the vibrancy of Church Lane

Following the gradual opening up of the business and hospitality sector after extended restrictions, Belfast One Business Improvement District brought forward an application to install festoon lighting along Church Lane. We are now delighted to announce that the funding application and recently the planning proposal has been unanimously passed at a recent Council committee meeting.

The busy nighttime location, which hosts popular businesses such as Bullitt Hotel & Muriels, will add to the vibrancy of the city night life, attracting more visitors and buzz to the area.

Belfast One BID, alongside Belfast City Council and Department for Communities (DFC) have worked tirelessly to pull this unique investment together. The ambient lighting will preserve the character and appearance of the area while creating a vibrant place that is safe and welcoming.

The initiative has gained great support from the mix of businesses on that street.

Kathleen McBride Operations Manager of Belfast One BID said:

‘This lighting feature will make a real difference to Church Lane by enhancing the vibrancy and welcome already evident in the businesses within the area. It’s a busy and popular part of Belfast City Centre and we feel this will only add to the atmosphere and popularity of the area and its nightlife.’

This Project is grant aided by Belfast City Council & DFC.
