Belfast One alongside city partners, Linen Quarter BID and the PSNI have joint funded a new CCTV location on Donegal Square West in the city.
This initiative will help address problems with crime and anti-social behaviour and has already been used as evidence leading to two separate arrests within the first week of operation.
Kathleen McBride, Managing Director of Belfast One BID said: “This is a welcome addition to the CCTV network in Belfast city centre. Such additional coverage will deter crime and overall enhance the security of both visitors and businesses throughout an ever increasingly busy and bustling city centre.”
Belfast One is also the lead partner and funder of the City Centre Beat Initiative, a dedicated PSNI service for Belfast One’s levy payers. This additional CCTV location in a busy, high footfall area will help increase perceptions of safety and compliment the work of our City Centre Beat officers on the ground.
