Your Belfast Rewards App

Belfast City Council have developed an innovative and free Your Belfast Rewards app as part of the Your Belfast Christmas campaign which will launch on Monday 3 December and run until Friday 21 December.

The aim is to drive additional footfall into city centre businesses by providing a range of incentives and rewards for shoppers and visitors.

Your Belfast Rewards will offer businesses the opportunity to profile and promote offers and events in their businesses to attract more customers.

The app is available to all businesses in the city centre and we are expecting over 200 businesses to participate in the scheme. If you haven’t already done so, please let us know if you wish to sign up  – email economicdevelopment@belfastcity.gov.uk or contact us on 028 9027 0482.

How does the Your Belfast Rewards scheme work?

When users download the app and open daily, they will be tasked with finding QR codes located in business premises in areas around the city centre. Each business will have their own unique code provided by us for display.

Areas around the city centre have been identified and chosen based on footfall figures. Once users have collected the allocated number of codes for that day, they will have to answer an easy trivia question to be entered into the daily or weekly draw.

The winners will be selected at random and the rewards may take the form of vouchers from various businesses or free entry into the amusements.

On occasional days, single-use rewards such as a free coffee will be live. To limit a massive influx on certain rewards, a maximum number will be issued.

What do customers need to do?

1. Download the Your Belfast Rewards app. The app is free to download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
2. Enter their contact details. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. Open the app every day to discover live daily competitions, prizes, events and offers.
4. Follow the instructions on the app to find the QR codes located within participating businesses and collect all the codes to be eligible for rewards and prizes.
5. Once they have scanned all the codes, a random quiz question will be displayed.
6. They should answer the question correctly to be included in the prize draw. Winners will be selected at random.
7. Winners will be contacted within five working days by telephone or email if they win a prize.
