With changes in passenger demand expected, Translink encourages all passengers to plan ahead using the newly enhanced Translink Journey Planner app, now offering improved features for a smoother customer experience.
David Cowan, Director of Commercial Operations at Translink, shared:
“Whether you’re commuting or planning a day out, we want to keep everyone better connected by bus and train. We’ve increased capacity to popular tourist spots and continue to offer great value tickets, such as our Friends & Family ticket—just £10 for up to 2 adults and 4 children to enjoy a full day of unlimited travel.”
For a fun day out, special family trains to Portrush will run on Easter Monday and Tuesday, departing Belfast Grand Central Station at 9:40am and returning at 6:25pm. These can be booked online at www.translink.co.uk for £24.
David added:
“With our wide range of services and value fares—including 25% off rail and Ulsterbus day returns after 9:30am—we’re looking forward to welcoming even more people on board this Easter.”
🚧 Essential Engineering Works – Plan Ahead
Please note the following temporary service changes due to scheduled engineering works:
🔹 Friday 18th & Saturday 19th April – Antrim to Coleraine

Services will continue to run between Derry~Londonderry and Coleraine.
🔹 Saturday 19th – Easter Monday (21st April) – Lisburn to Portadown

Services will operate normally between Lisburn and Belfast Grand Central Station.
✅ No disruptions are expected on the Bangor and Larne lines.
Please also note that Irish Rail will be carrying out engineering works between Dublin and Dundalk, which may impact cross-border Enterprise services.
