Harris Rundle

Harris Rundle is an independent optical practice, located in Belfast City Centre, run by father and daughter Alan and Lucy Rundle.

Harris Rundle are proud of their excellent reputation in all areas of eye care and contact lens fitting. A particular interest is frame selection, helping someone to find exactly the look they want, using our wide range of interesting and beautiful frames sourced from all over Europe.

Harris Rundle opened his first practice in Belfast in 1905. The business expanded over the following years, with branches opening as far afield as Cork, Dublin and Derry/Londonderry. His son Cecil joined the firm in 1932. He consolidated the business over the next 40 years, taking it through the introduction of the NHS in 1948. Cecil's son Alan qualified in London in 1976. Alan is currently the Managing Director of the company, which celebrated its centenary in 2005.
