Stephen Mewha

Stephen Mewha has been the General Manager of Frasers (formerly House of Fraser) in Belfast since 2014.  During this time the store has undergone major renovation with strong investment and is the first House of Fraser to be renamed Frasers in line with its luxury ambitions.  Stephen has been involved in retail for over three decades with previous senior roles within Debenhams and also independent retailers. During this time the sector has been completely transformed, with changes in consumer habits and markets creating ever increasing challenges and pressures.  Stephen is putting his extensive experience to good use by influencing and supporting the City Centre’s Business Improvement District (BID), Belfast One.

Stephen has been involved with Belfast One since the development phase in 2014 and was the Vice Chair from 2016-2020. In early 2020 Stephen was elected as Chair of the Belfast One Board.  Stephen is a passionate advocate for business in Belfast and he feels one of the most important thing about the BID is the fact that it gives businesses collective influence and the ability to work together to create a clean, safe and vibrant city centre which is an attractive place to visit and do business in.
