Geraldine Duggan has been the Manager of Belfast City Centre Manager since 2016.  Including previous roles, Geraldine has worked in Belfast City Centre from 2005. As well as the Belfast One Board of Directors, Geraldine sits on a number of Boards that are integral to making a difference to Belfast, these include Linen Quarter BID and the Cathedral Quarter Trust.

Outside work Geraldine sits on the Board of the Royal Yachting Association (NI) – the governing body for water sports in NI.  Geraldine is a keen sailor and participates competitively on Belfast Lough as well as cruising further afield. She has also been a volunteer with Belfast Lough Sailability since its inception in 1999 and continues to sit on its Management Committee.  This Charity provides ‘out of the norm’ experiences to individuals irrespective of their disability and Geraldine is passionate about developing the skills of its members to the best of their ability.

In 2013, Geraldine was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in HM the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to sailing and those with a disability.

Geraldine believes that Belfast City Centre Management was central to driving legislation to deliver the BIDs concept in Northern Ireland and was responsible for developing and ensuring a successful ‘Vote Yes’ for the Belfast One BID in 2016.  She believes that Belfast One deliver a range of innovative initiatives which enhance economic performance, the presentation of public space and perceptions of safety in Belfast City Centre.

Central to Geraldine’s ethos is making a difference and through effective partnerships building across the public and private sectors, as well as third sector organisations; working with Belfast One can enable a synergistic approach to deliver effective and relevant projects as well as finding solutions to deliver a vibrant and safer City Centre for all.
