Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s Santa here, dropping by to say hello!
As you all know the countdown is well and truly on for my most busiest day of the year and if you are as excited as I am you’ll be well into the celebratory festivities with your families!
Mrs Claus, the elves and I have seen so many wonderful sights, visited a lot of attractions and have heard about lots of things happening within Belfast One this December for you and your children to enjoy! That’s why I have created a list – not the naughty or nice list, but a to-do list of things you can get up to over the next few weeks!
With the help of my elves, Belfast One have set up their very own post office so all the kids in Belfast and further afield can send me their Christmas letter!
Located on Royal Avenue, your little one can write their letter, get it stamped by the elves with their North Pole seal of approval, then post it in the magical postbox and see the journey it will take from Belfast to the North Pole!
Don’t let them forget to ring the bell once they have posted it so I know that it is on its way!
While you are there, why not get a selfie against the magical glitter wall and upload to social media with the hashtag #SantasPostOffice!

Sweet Factory Tour!
Another great activity for the whole family to enjoy is taking a tour around my sweet factory!
Board the very decorative double Decker bus that has been transformed into a modern style sleigh and let Belfast City Sightseeing company transport you and the family to the sweet factory!
This is where my elves will show you how they make all the sweets needed for Christmas and they will tell stories of how I make my way around the world and how I can fit each cookie into my jolly belly!! Once inside the factory, the magic happens!
Book here and be quick as this will sell out!
Tour departs from High St, Belfast (outside the National Grande Cafe)
- 15 Dec – 23rd Dec at 4pm and 7pm
- 20 Dec – 23rd Dec at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm
Whatever you get up to when you’re visiting the City, be sure to check out the festive attractions that are in place!
From Christmas lights to magical entertainment, there is something around every corner!
Take a stroll round to Donegall Place (in front of Belfast City Hall) and have a go on the Giant Snow Slide! While you’re there enjoy a range of food from the festive chalets and food trailers along the street!
For more entertainment then head to Castle Place (outside Donegall Arcade) and enjoy a range of children’s rides including carousels and an Olaf the Snowman Ride!
A German windmill grill will also be selling a range of bratwurst sausage, a Christmas market tradition!
What a way to add a bit of Christmas excitement to your trip to the City Centre!?
Cinema on the Square!

Bring your little helpers along and have a go at free festive arts and crafts from around the world:
Make your own Julehjerter – a traditional Danish Christmas decoration – or a seasonal Luminaria Latern from Mexico.
Workshops are available on selected dates until 23 December!
Thursday & Friday: 3pm – 6pm
Saturday: 12pm – 5pm
Sunday: 1pm – 6pm
The Giving Tree!
An amazing initiative that CastleCourt are doing this month is a Giving Tree in aid of NI Hospice!
Enjoy the gift of giving this Christmas and make a child’s Christmas sparkle a little more by donating a gift! Pick a tag and purchase a gift for the age and gender on the tag. Leave your unwrapped gift to the Customer Relations desk who will ensure it is received by a child at the NI Hospice this December.
The Giving Tree is located on the ground floor next to Customer Relations Desk. Don’t miss out the last day to give a gift is 15 December!
If, like me you will be out and about in the City Centre almost every weekend, be sure to make your way around Belfast One to watch and enjoy some amazing festive entertainment!
On Royal Avenue on the 7 and 8 December from 6pm – 9pm Graeme Stratton, Northern Ireland’s leading ice sculptor, will be creating ten incredible new sculptures! Alongside the Ice Sculptures a selection of Northern Ireland’s most talented and exciting fire performers will help to keep the temperature up and the pulses racing! There’ll be fire dancing, fire fans, fire juggling and fire breathing! This is a fire and ice exhibition you and the kids do not want to miss!
Each weekend from 6 – 23 December there will be wonderful musical entertainment for you to enjoy from various performers on Royal Avenue and Castle Place!
If you are looking to add some festivity to your lunchtime, why not head to Rosemary Street on 12 December at 1.15pm – 2.15pm and watch a magical Christmas Recital performed by members of the NI Opera Studio!
Mrs Claus and I cannot wait to see all these amazing and wonderful performances which will certainly contribute to our festive mood!
So, that is my to-do list of fun and exciting things for you and your family to enjoy this festive season! Whatever you get up to, I hope you all enjoy and have a lot of fun!
Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!
