Martina Connolly, Chief Executive of Belfast One, attended the adjournment debate on the Belfast Night Time Economy at Stormont. The debate, brought forward by Phillip Brett MLA, highlighted the critical role of the night-time economy in Belfast’s growth and was attended by Belfast Night Czar, Michael Stewart, as well as MLAs from across the city.

Martina Connolly commented:

“Belfast One welcomes this matter being brought forward to the Assembly and is encouraged by the strong cross-party support and positive contributions from our Belfast MLAs. There is a shared commitment to fostering a thriving, safe, and diverse night-time economy in Belfast City Centre. We look forward to continuing our work with the Department for the Economy and the newly appointed Minister, Caoimhe Archibald, to help drive sustainable growth and support the businesses that make our city vibrant after dark.”

Through the work of the Purple Flag Steering Group, Belfast One and its partners continue to champion initiatives that enhance, promote and support the night-time economy while continuing to lobby for important services such as late-night public transport, to ensure Belfast remains a dynamic, welcoming city for all.
