His paintings celebrate the diversity of the Northern Irish landscape and people; from sleet soaked mourners at a rural funeral to the sun and shade on Antrim’s cliffs.

Laoch na Laochra / Hero of Heroes

Dara Vallely and Réamonn Ó Ciaráin tell the story of the great warrior Cú Chulainn. The story dates back to the 7th century but still dominates the mythological and imaginative landscape of Ireland. The narrative tells the story of Cú Chulainn, from his origins to his death by Lugaid’s spear. The exhibition consists of a unique and authentic retelling of the remarkable stories with striking paintings by Dara Vallelly and text by Réamonn Ó Ciaráin. ADMISSION FREE – ALL WELCOME
