Wondering what to do this half-term? Join us for jam-packed craft activities and entertainment as we celebrate Chinese New Year with Young at Art

 

We’re really getting into the spirit of Chinese New Year on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February from 11am to 3pm at the Fountain Centre.

FREE workshops:

  • make your own decorative Chinese headbands and necklace
  • make colourful kites
  • decorate your own cookie Chinese characters.

Street entertainment:

  • a magician
  • walkabout characters
  • stilt walkers
  • face painters
  • balloon modellers!

We are also holding storytelling sessions across the City Centre, details of which can be found below.

As the event is taking place outside the Q Radio centre on the First Floor of the Fountain Centre, the Q radio presenters will be getting involved too.

Storytelling sessions

Bring the kids along to hear from Young At Art’s magical storytellers in different venues across the City Centre with sessions starting at 11.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm and 2.15pm on Friday and Saturday.
